Jaisol Martinez is an American meteorologist currently serving as the weekend morning meteorologist at ABC 7 Chicago. Before this role, she spent four years at WHDH-TV in Boston, where she was responsible for tracking various weather events, including nor’easters, tornadoes, snowstorms, and heatwaves. Originally from El Paso, Texas, Martinez developed an interest in meteorology at a young age due to the region’s diverse and unpredictable weather. She pursued a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Texas A&M University, which laid the foundation for her career in broadcasting. Early on, she also launched a Spanish weather platform at WMDT-TV in Maryland.
In 2021, Martinez was honored with the Mozart Leader in STEM Award, recognizing her contributions to the field of meteorology and her dedication to mentoring young people.
